Toddler boys Windsuit by SOS

This is a wind breaker suit, not an insulated winter snowsuit. This outfit has a water resistant shell and 100% cotton flannel lining. The suit zips up the middle, has a hood, elastic cuffs and stirrups. Since there is no insulation layer this outfit cannot be considered winter outerwear on its own - but worn with layers makes this a very practical form of outerwear. Many expensive ski suits, often called "powder suits", are made the same way. The real warmth comes from the layers you chose to wear underneath and the main role of the suit itself is to repel snow and help trap heat in. We saw a lot of these years ago but in recent times we more often see 2 piece windbreaker suits than the one piece suits like this one. The one piece suits do a better job of keeping moisture and cold out. This suit packs small and light making it great for travel, can be worn with layers for keeping warm and dry in winter, and can help keep clothes clean and dry during the damp and mucky fall or spring months. The condition of this windsuit is great.

The elasticized over the shoulder straps are adjustable and attach to the bib with brightly colored snap-in buckles matching the neon yellow knee panel. Snow cuffs are built into the leg to help keep the snow out, and the warmth in. The material is in very good condition, and not showing signs of wear in the knees. There is a faint neon coral color transfer showing in the top white band where the outseam meets the bib (slightly visible in photo).

This blue, white, green and mustard yellow snowsuit, made by Bus Stop, is generously insulated for extra warmth. This is a nice find considering what the department stores have been doing in winter outerwear for the last couple seasons. You may have noticed as I have that this season most of the department stores seem to be stocking cheap imported outerwear that is very thin and stingy on the materials. Even some of the more expensive big name makers are doing it this year too. Having moved their manufacturing to China now their outerwear is coming back far too thin. It's being sold as "winter outerwear" but not that not long ago we called thin outerwear clothing like that "spring" or "fall" outerwear and hardly expected it to be suitable for real winter temperatures.

Fortunately this snowsuit is truly built with warmth in mind so the maker didn't cut corners on the insulation. It zips all the way down to the bottom of the left leg, has a drawstring waist, hood, knit cuffs, 2 zip pockets and two snap button pockets. It has a water resistant nylon shell and lining and a generous layer of polyester insulation. The condition of this snowsuit is excellent and for warmth I give it an A+.

Sun Valley makes some snow pants that are perfect for toddler boys who are hard on their clothes spending hours sliding, climbing and crawling around in the snow. Lots of added durability and warmth are built into these snow pants. To be sure your little guy doesn't get a blow-out while out sledding or building snow forts the pants have very well reinforced knees, seat and cuffs - all the parts that toddlers are hardest on when at play! Although we can't find the maker label in this one, this pair of boys rich red snow pants provides some clues suggsting it may be made by London Fog. The type of material, quality construction and details and the care label are all very much in the London Fog style of snow bibs. The shell is a water resistant poly/cotton blend and the lining is a royal blue nylon. There is a good layer of polyester fill for insulation. The pants have adjustable straps, zip up the middle, two hip pockets and snow cuffs. The material and color is in like new condition. A great find!

Pastel purple size 3/4 toddler girls snow pants made by Circo. The label calls these a size 3T but the pants measure up against typical size 4 snow pants. The pants have a more roomy waist than most size 3 snow pants so there is a bit of extra room for wearing bulky sweaters. The snow bibs zip up the left side, have elastic straps that attach to the bib with Velcro, one cargo pocket, one heart shaped zip pocket on the bib, built in snow cuffs and zips in the cuffs to help them open up for fitting over winter boots. The shell is a soft polyester, the floral print lining is a flannel cotton and the insulation is polyester. The condition is very good, not showing any discolorations or signs of hard wear. Please note that the straps can open and close but there isn't a lot of play in them to adjust the length. This pair would best fit a child who measures in the range of 33-36 inches from shoulder to ankle.

This pair of size 5 toddler girls snow pants has a nice roomy waist to make room for wearing bulky sweaters. These snow bibs have a unique shell made of polyurethane which gives it very good water and stain resistance and color fastness. This may be a very good choice of snow pants where the winters are cold, wet and sloppy. It looks like this material will repell most water splashed on it and will clean up easily. The shell is decorated with grey piping down the outseams, a silver color zip and silver buckles. The lining is nylon and there is a good layer of polyester insulation for proper warmth.
