Small boys winter jackets come in a wide variety of styles. A great length for a winter coat for boys is one that comes to below their waist or as long as the bottom of their seat. For playing in the snow bomber length jackets are too short. In the far north 3/4 length winter coats are preferred for maximum warmth but those extra long styles aren't the best for mobility. Most boys winter jackets have hoods attached. Some hoods are removeable but most have drawstrings. These can be a hazard to small children. If the boys winter jacket has a drawstring in the hood we suggest removing entirely or cut it in such a way that if it ever was snagged the string would easily break free.
