Small boys size 8 is geared towards boys with a 23-24 inch waist and 48-51 inches tall. In snow pants some marked size 6-8 would be a good size for an 8 year old. In winter outerwear for 8 year old boys snow pants, snow bibs and winter jackets are most popular.
