Small boys size 9 is geared towards boys with a 24 inch waist and 49-52 inches tall. We see this size occasionally in boys denim jeans but very rarely in snow pants. Size 8 or 10 snow pants would probably be the best choice for a 9 year old boy. In winter outerwear for 9 year old boys snow pants, snow bibs and winter jackets are most popular.
